Frank's Place Introduce
In the heart of Chicago, within the historic and vibrant 60653 zip code, Frank's Place stands as a locally recognized barber shop dedicated to serving the grooming needs of the community. A traditional barber shop is often much more than a place to get a haircut; it is a community hub, a space for conversation, and a trusted provider of essential personal grooming services. Frank's Place aims to uphold this classic role, offering a convenient and accessible location for both regular maintenance and specialized styling requests for men and young clients in the Illinois region.
The Illinois barbering industry, particularly in urban centers like Chicago, is defined by a strong emphasis on precision, line work, and the mastery of diverse hair textures. Modern trends showcase a growing demand for specialized cuts such as different types of fades and tapers, alongside the timeless expectation of sharp, clean line-ups. Frank's Place positions itself to meet these demands by providing fundamental barber shop services, acknowledging the importance of a professional cut, and catering to families by explicitly being “Good for kids.” This multi-generational approach is vital for any neighborhood establishment, ensuring a client base that ranges from young children getting their first picture-day cut to adults seeking their weekly or bi-weekly grooming refresh.
However, potential patrons should note that, as with many service-based businesses, customer experiences can vary, and seeking a consultation before starting a service, especially for new or particular requests, is always recommended. Maintaining clear communication with the barber regarding specific style requirements and cost expectations is a practice highly valued by industry professionals and clients alike.
Frank's Place is strategically located at 519 E 47th St, Chicago, IL 60653, USA. This address situates the barber shop directly on the vital 47th Street corridor, placing it in a well-traveled and recognizable part of the city. For residents of the South Side of Chicago and the greater Illinois metro area, this location is highly accessible through the city’s comprehensive public transportation system.
Accessibility via the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is a significant advantage for this location. The CTA Green Line train, a major 'L' route, has a dedicated 47th Street station (314 E. 47th St.), which is a short walk from the salon's address. This 'L' connection links the neighborhood directly to downtown and the West Side, making it convenient for commuters. Additionally, the CTA Bus Route 47 runs the length of 47th Street, with stops located very close to the shop, providing excellent east-west travel options. For those traveling from further reaches of the city or nearby suburbs via Metra, the 47th Street/Kenwood Metra station is also a viable option. These multiple transit links ensure that clients relying on public transport can reach Frank's Place with relative ease, a key factor for a neighborhood service provider in a transit-heavy city like Chicago. For patrons who drive, 47th Street is a main thoroughfare, though as with all urban areas, the availability of street parking may be subject to demand.
Frank's Place operates as a classic barber shop, with a service model focused on providing essential and reliable grooming for a primarily male clientele, including children. While the full list of services is not provided, the 'Barber shop' classification universally implies core offerings that are the foundation of men's grooming.

Frank's Place Reviews
this is my first time going and my son needed a haircut for picture day tomorrow and I was desperate. I let the dude in the second chair on the left I think he said his name was Danny, cut my son hair. Now he is only a two year old but this isn't his first haircut, the dude cut a gash on the side of my son left eyebrow. Now I know I should have paid more attention, but I didn't notice until I got home. I am way beyond pissed and he charged me $15, I have only paid $10 for my son haircuts. You can say he got me, but I will never ever go there again. #pissedmother
October 21 · Loving32LifeThe barber said he knew what he was doing. He showed me myself in the mirror and my lining was crooked I was suppose to get a light taper but he gave me a heavy taper all after telling him I was really particular about letting people cut my hair. Worst experience and it cost me 20$.not happy at all.
