I’ve been seeing Ivan Gomez for my haircuts for about 2 years now. He always does a spectacular job. He listens to what I want carefully and always delivers. We are on the same page about what a trim is, what an inch cut off looks like (lol) and always frames my face just right. Ivan is also very knowledgeable about hair care and products. Aside from his work, he’s a down to earth human and is great to converse with 😊

I have been through my fair share of hair stylists and colorists, and I have finally found the best!! Ivan is beyond talented and I have always been impressed with his work. Whether I want to go red, blonde, short, or long cut, he takes the time to talk with me and provide excellent work. The salon is also fab—everyone is so nice and the space makes you feel like you are treating yourself. I have recommended a handful of people here as well, and everyone has been pleased. Whether it is just a routine trim, drastically changing my hair color, or if I need a touch up before an event, I know I can always count on Ivan (and George salon!)

Nancy was awesome! I was in town for a wedding and needed a last-minute blowout and styling. I really didn’t know what to expect. Not only did Nancy have 30* years in the business, she is still taking classes and evolving. Talented, hip, professional and fun! From this New Yorkers to anyone whom reads this, George Salon rocks , not just because it’s high end location and gorgous space but because the people whom work for them have this infectious energy and tremendous skill set! Can’t wait to get back to Chicago to book again.

I’ve been going to George for at least 8 years. Megan is hands down the queen of blonde highlights! I give her minimal direction and trust her to work her magic and walk out OBSESSED every time! I’m also extremely inconsistent with my appointments (sometimes going only once per year) and my dark roots always magically blend with the highlights regardless of how long it’s been since my last appointment. I also highly recommend Dae and Maude for haircuts! I have very long and fine hair, and they know exactly what to do to somehow give my hair shape and volume while keeping the length. I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any of the experts at George, because everyone seems so talented (not to mention friendly) when I’m in a chair and looking around. They recently moved locations and I’m excited to watch this new space evolve into something amazing once renovations are done. And if you’re looking for hair care products, you’ll find exactly what you need here at a cheaper price than anywhere else (I swear!)

Great atmosphere. Staff is friendly and professional and the stylists seem to be the best of the best. I’ve seen Dae a few times for a haircut and felt extremely well taken care of. (I believe both of his parents are hair stylists as well - just goes to show this place hires talented individuals!). Prices aren’t cheap but they’re fair imo and well worth it.
