Blind Barber Introduce
For Illinois residents seeking an elevated grooming experience that transitions seamlessly into a lively night out, **Blind Barber** in Chicago’s vibrant Fulton Market District offers a truly unique concept. This establishment is much more than a traditional grooming location; it is a meticulously designed dual-purpose space that functions as a professional, vintage-inspired **Barber shop** by day and a hidden **Bar**—often described as a speakeasy—by night.
The innovative design and service philosophy of Blind Barber were created with the goal of bringing a refreshed, social element back to the ritual of men’s hairstyling. As you approach the location on Fulton Market, the exterior presents as a classic, unassuming barbershop, complete with the iconic spinning barber pole. However, the experience holds a secret: after receiving your expert cut or shave, guests can venture through an unmarked door in the back to discover a stylish, dimly lit mid-century speakeasy bar.
The unique blend of services and atmosphere is what draws clients from across Chicago and the wider Illinois region. The front of the house is dedicated to providing high-quality, precise grooming with a focus on hospitality. The team of skilled barbers offers a full menu of services, from classic cuts to modern fades and relaxing hot towel shaves. This dedication to craft ensures that whether you're there for a full **Barber Grooming** session or a simple **Beard Trim**, you leave looking your best.
The transition to the back-room bar allows clients to show off their fresh look while enjoying a handcrafted cocktail, making the entire visit an efficient and enjoyable outing. The bar features a tasteful, dimly lit space, often enhanced by curated music or a DJ, creating a perfect atmosphere for unwinding after work or starting a weekend evening. Many patrons, even those coming just for the speakeasy during happy hour, quickly express an interest in trying the grooming services on a future visit, highlighting the synergy of the concept.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came here just for the speakeasy during happy hour on a Thursday night. However, I would love to try a haircut with one of their barbers in a future visit. Anyways, the vibes of going from a barbershop to the bar was really cool. As I entered this nondescript door as a walk-in (forgot to make reservations), I was immediately greeted with the really cool mid century speakeasy vibe with tastefully decorated space and dim lighting. The music was at a good volume and just a small groups of people were scattered around. Not too crowded at that time but I was told by the bartenders that things pick up later in the evenings or weekends. However, I just wanted to get a few happy hour drinks and was surprised they had a happy hour special until 7pm. Most places go to 5:30-6pm so I was surprised by the timing. The cocktails looked tasty and the pricing was on par with bars in the area ($15-20) but happy hour was $10 for standard cocktails like old fashions, sours, etc. I went for the old fashion and was delighted but how good it was for the price. I chatted with the bartenders and they were friendly and attentive. Made sure my drinks were topped off and were fast with their service. There was a small food menu but it was typical bar fare from what I remember and I had a side of fries to eat. Overall the vibes were great and definitely come for happy hour again. I’m sure late nights and weekends can be a blast but I enjoyed a super chill place to wind down after work and will come back with more friends.
June 15 · Patrick JamesWe came here on a Friday night, and at first the bouncer was going to let us in, but then another one stopped him. He said we couldn’t come in because one of my friends had ripped jeans. Right after that, we saw two couples go in wearing tshirts and basketball shorts?!?The first time I came, everyone was super nice, which is why I decided to give this place another try. This time was the complete opposite. It honestly felt like discrimination for no reason. I don’t recommend this place at all.I’m reading others people low rated reviews on this place, and their responses are so disrespectful and unprofessional. I think that says a lot about the people who runs this place.
October 04 · M OkayMe encantó el barbershop/bar theme. The DJ was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Definitely worth the visit.
August 17 · Ileana MNice speakeasy for laughs and drinks. I love that you see diversity walking in. Djs usually play mixture of music for all to enjoy which is a bonus. The actual barbershop is also an eye candy! It looks clean and classic!
August 24 · Parham FirouzabadiNice spot to have drinks and laughs. Staff was top notch and the crowd was diverse and mature. The Dj played a mixture of music for all to enjoy. By the way the actual Barber Shop was clean and giving eye candy
