For Illinois residents seeking a reliable local barber, Pro Cutz offers a traditional barber shop experience, but with a critical caveat regarding logistics. The shop is noted for its special attention to children's haircuts and the core services expected of a professional barber.
However, the provided customer feedback strongly indicates that the most crucial aspect of visiting Pro Cutz is following the "Appointments recommended" planning advice. Multiple users reported significant issues and long wait times when attempting to walk in, even after being advised that an appointment might not be necessary. The feedback suggests that the walk-in policy, particularly during busy times or later in the day, is inconsistent or not reliably managed, leading to a frustrating experience where those with appointments (or known to the staff) are prioritized.
Therefore, the strong recommendation is for all prospective clients to proactively use the contact information provided above to call and schedule an appointment in advance. This approach is highly likely to secure your service and prevent the long waits and confusion experienced by others. By booking ahead, clients can maximize their chances of a positive experience, focusing on the quality of the cut and the convenient location. Ignoring the recommendation to book an appointment appears to be a major risk for a negative customer experience at this establishment.
In summary, if you are in the Chicago, IL area and are looking for a barber shop that is good for kids and offers professional cuts, Pro Cutz is a viable option. Just be sure to call (773) 582-4247 well in advance to secure your spot and avoid any disappointment.
The professional standard and quality of the finished cut are often the main draw for repeat business, and by adhering to the appointments system, you can best set yourself up to experience the shop at its most professional.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1So i went in today, and was very disappointed. I was really looking forward to try this place.I was previously told i didn't need an appointment if i came after 6.This is my experience as it happened:I walk in; music is very loud, the first guy cutting hair had beer cans on his station while he was cutting hair, and it appeared even some of the customers were drinking with them.I take a seat in the bench Nobody has yet greeted me or asked me why I am there. The music its still very loud and people are laghing and talking outloud over the music.Guys kept on walking in crowding over by the people getting haircuts and talking with the barbers.People weren't wearing masks and the barbers had them on their chin with nose and mouth uncovered. At this point over 30mins had passed, customers walked in and immediately took a seat in the chairs as if they were expected, and obviously knew each other. When one haircut was done they will still wait around talking until someone else came in and took a seat without waiting. At this point I started to wonder what was going on.One of the barbers came up to me and said they were closing and asked if i had an appointment I told him the other guy said i didn't need one and I had just witnessed that same guy tell someone who walked in, to come in early without an appointment. However they Now just told me to wait for 2 more people to be done or leave and make an appointment for some other time because weekends are very busy too.I was very disappointed and a bit angry at how unprofessional everything seemed after reading the good reviews.Maybe in the future ill try again, but it was just not worth it.
August 22 · J M PI went in there early in the day to see if I needed an appointment and they told me no, comeback around 6. I went back at 6pm and Not once did they ask if we had an appointment or anything. So we waited for almost an hour just watching guys just going in to the empty chairs and getting their hair cuts. By 7pm somebody approached us to ask if we had an appointment cause they were about to close and that we needed appointments since we didn't have one we would have to wait for one of the guys who had one more guy in front of us.I saw 2 guys working hard the rest were drinking and just talking away with their clients, even after being done with their cuts. The guy told me it was because of this pandemic but Yet again Nobody was wearing a mask at all and no social distancing either so it didn't make sense. Very Disappointing 😤
August 22 · Leopoldo TovarI live in Georgia and when I visit Chicago. I still get my hair done at Juluby's hair Salon. I live here for 2 years almost and still have not found a place that does a great job. Chelo always takes her time and does a great job on my hair and my kids.
July 31 · Evelyn SanchezAfter hopping between shops for years I landed on this one. The atmosphere is super chill and it’s well worth the money. I go to Rudy, whom I highly recommend. Super talented and really cool guy.
