The salon aims to serve the local Chicago community by offering expertise in various braiding styles, which are popular for both their aesthetic appeal and their role in hair protection and growth. In a city as diverse as Chicago, having access to specialized services like those offered by Dee Westside is crucial for clients who require professional handling of textured hair.
However, prospective clients should note that planning is key when booking a service here. The salon operates on an **Appointment required** basis, meaning walk-ins are generally not accommodated, and proper scheduling is necessary to secure a spot. This policy helps ensure that the stylists can dedicate the appropriate amount of time to each complex service, although customer feedback suggests clients should take proactive measures regarding communication and timing for their scheduled appointments.
When selecting a salon for time-intensive protective styles like braids and sew-ins, potential clients in Illinois often prioritize quality, reliability, and clear communication. While the salon specializes in these professional services, reviews indicate that clients should clearly outline their desired style and expectations, and be prepared to manage logistical elements of the service themselves.

Therefore I had to fix it 😠by gluing three more pieces on. My girls never want to go there again they weren't happy with there stylist "they told me."

March 03 · Lauren CovingtonI came in and the place was nice and within 15mins they began my hair with two ladies which made it a little faster and now that the other woman is on my hair she is very heavy handed my hair is not nappy it's very thin and straight once she finishes I will let her know she is doing a good job but her hands are too heavy and she braids too tight that is what breaks the hair not help to grow it
June 24 · Miss TillyI wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyway. They are always late for the appointment and do not care that they are late. I had a 9:30 appointment and the lady showed up at 1030 and said she cannot do my hair because her arms hurt. This is not the first time they did this. I will not be returning to this shop.
