Chicago fade Introduce
For Illinois residents seeking a complete and professional grooming experience, finding a reliable "barber shop" that caters to diverse needs is essential. Chicago fade, located in the heart of the desirable Lincoln Square neighborhood, stands out as more than just a traditional barbershop. It successfully blends classic barbering excellence with a comprehensive range of modern salon services, making it a go-to destination for men, women, and children across Chicago and the surrounding Illinois region.
This establishment is known for its ability to deliver an excellent cut, often cited by long-term patrons who bring their whole family in for service. The team at Chicago fade is committed to high-quality work, ensuring 'multiple people that can give you a good cut' are available, which helps maintain manageable wait times and solidifies its reputation as a convenient and dependable grooming spot. Furthermore, the business proudly identifies as veteran-owned, adding a layer of community distinction and dedication to service that resonates with local Illinois users.
It is important for new clients to note that while the quality of the cuts is highly praised, there have been recent customer service issues regarding pricing transparency and in-shop professionalism, indicating that customers should confirm service prices before their appointment to ensure the advertised rates are honored. Despite these isolated concerns, the core value proposition of consistent, high-quality haircuts, particularly for popular services like fades and kids' cuts, remains a strong draw for the community.

The 60625 zip code is one of Chicago’s most desirable, nestled between Ravenswood and Albany Park, and is highly accessible to people commuting from different parts of Illinois.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1These guys are great! multiple people that can give you a good cut, not crazy wait times, solid prices. I’ve been bringing me and my son here for almost 3 years now
September 22 · Alan GriffinI've been coming here for over 10 years and this place has gone through several changes of ownership. I've always been a generous tipper (upwards of 25%) but today was my last day officially. My second to last visit here, the entire barber staff was playing FIFA (Yes, the video game) on a Playstation 5 hooked up to the wall TV and had me wait until the game ended, one of them even complained my head was in the way of the screen while I was trying to use the atm as it's a cash only place. They even blocked the atm with a table so I couldn't get to it just so no one would step in front of their video game. Highly unprofessional, yet I forgave that. I then came back today and got the full haircut and beard service. I was asked to pay $55 dollars cash (not including tip). Here's my issue with this price; the company's website which I've screenshotted and attached below advertises beard and haircut total $25 dollars. If you walk into the shop, they advertise different prices on a poster which say $45 dollars total for beard and haircut. Yet, the person charged me $55 dollars and seemed to have dishonestly upcharged me. I still gave him $65 for his dishonesty and told him keep the change because I knew I wasn't coming back. After 10 years, I've moved away from this area and still commuted further to show them my loyalty. But I will no longer step in here again after the unprofessionalism and dishonesty I've been shown on my last two visits.
August 12 · Faizan TanvirOld school vibes. Feels like I’m getting my haircut in the 90d. Drive 45 minutes to get my kids haircuts here. Love this place.
August 30 · Joseph LopezFirst when I went there there was a guy covering the price of the haircut so I couldn’t tell how much it would be before I was sat down. It’s probably excusable because he was busy talking to the cashier.Second it felt as if everything I asked was ignored. I showed the guy who was cutting my hair a specific picture of what I wanted and told him that I didn’t want my hair short. The guy proceeded to give me a buzz cut ruining what was 5 months worth of hair growth.I was polite and upfront about what I wanted and yet they took advantage of that and proceeded to try and give me basically a glorified buzz cut for 25 dollars.
January 22 · Drake GlennThey used to cut my hair how I wanted before they started hiring more people.Update: Most of them have cut my hair really good now as of 2025. Went from 3 stars to 5.
